Mississauga seed library program

[SPEC WORK]

To spotlight my love for community programs I chose to create advertising for the Mississauga Library’s Seed Sharing program.

I used their existing branding to make social media posts that can be easily shared on platforms as either posts, stories, or sponsored posts.

To tie everything together I also created a flyer that could be distributed to readers at various branches to increase awareness of the program.

To promote this program, I thought the most effective solution would be an online campaign that could be easily shared on either Mississauga Library’s own social media profiles or shared as sponsored posts elsewhere.

I wanted to keep the colour palette to the library’s existing campaign which is very bold and bright. To keep this in focus I chose images that were light and bright and complimentary to the branding but not overpowering it.

To tie everything together I featured the program’s catchy tagline in the brand colours to draw the viewer in while also informing them of the program’s function.

As quite a number of library patron visit to use internet services it’s likely they may miss out on online messaging regarding library activities and programs. This is why I also thought it was useful to design an accompanying flyer/poster that could be both resized and displayed prominently or printed at letter size and left out for patrons to pick up.
