Rediscover ontario campaign: Arts & Culture

As the province has begun to reopen I noticed increased advertising for local tourism from Destination Ontario. This inspired me to create an advertising campaign for prominent Arts & Culture destinations in the GTA which would appear in corresponding publications such as Chatelaine or Maclean’s. They could also be reproduced to be displayed in public settings such as bus shelters and subway stations as more people return to work and use transit again.

I was inspired by editorial style magazine ads which aim to draw readers in with striking photography and minimal text. Each image’s location is identified with the same location pin and features the Destination Ontario website for further information. I purposefully created all elements, aside from the photographs, to be consistent so as to communicate they were all part of the same campaign and further reinforce Destination Ontario’s message for local tourism.
